Annual Fund: FAQ New Page 1
Q: Why should I give to The University of Scranton when I’m  still
       paying off my college debt?

A: Your education would have cost double that’s right, double were
it not for the alumni before you who gave generously to the
       University.

Q: My gift of $10, $15, $25 or even $100 would be a drop in the
      bucket. Why should I give?

A: Think about it: 10,000 gifts of $50 equals $500,000! That amount
could fund, on average, twenty-five financial aid  packages for
      University students next year alone.

Q: I have a small salary, with expenses that eat up my paycheck so
quickly. How can I afford to make a large gift this year?

A: The University is not asking you to make a gift that will  break the
bank. We just want to get as many alumni as possible  to
Participate. When we all work together, we can make great things
       happen for the University.

Q: If I give to "unrestricted funds," who gets the money?

A: Unrestricted funds, those not donor-designated for a specific use,
are especially important to the University. They provide  the
financial resources necessary to upgrade technology, repair and
maintain facilities, and purchase important  materials for the
      library.

Q: Are my gifts to the University tax deductible, and will I receive a
      receipt?

A: Yes, all gifts are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
You will receive an acknowledgement thanking you for your
      support.
