Dexter Hanley - Application Process

Admissions Application Process

You can apply for entrance into any of the five terms offered at The University of Scranton (fall, intersession, spring, summer I, summer II). All application materials must be received no later than three weeks before the beginning of the semester in which the applicant wishes to enroll. Notification for fall and summer sessions begins in February. Notification for spring and intersession begins in September. Admission decisions are rendered within three weeks after receipt of a completed application and supporting documents. Admissions interviews are not required but are strongly encouraged. Admission to College of Graduate and Continuing Education is based on the applicant's academic record, life experiences and motivation to continue education.

To apply to College of Graduate and Continuing Education:

  1. Send your completed application with the $20 application fee to the Office of Admissions at the address listed below. You can request an application by contacting The Dexter Hanley Office of Admissions at the address below. You can also download the application as a PDF file.

  2. Have official high school or GED scores and college transcript(s) forwarded to Office of Admissions.

    Applicants with a minimum of 15 earned credits from an accredited college or university do not need to submit high school transcripts or GED scores.

  3. Submit a personal statement about your academic intentions discussing your reasons for pursuing undergraduate studies at The University of Scranton. Also, please take this opportunity to explain any extenuating factors or past academic performance that may be helpful to the Admissions Committee when reviewing your application.

International student applicants must also submit official TOEFL scores, copy of visa, official transcripts (with certified English translation), and certified confirmation of financial resources.
