The College of Graduate and Continuing Education
for Adult Students

Dexter Hanley - General Information

General Information

The College of Graduate and Continuing Education Office of Admissions is located in O'Hara Hall, Room 106. The office is open from 8:30 am-4:30 pm, Monday-Friday. We welcome personal appointments and look forward to meeting with you personally to discuss the educational opportunities offered at The University of Scranton. We can also arrange for a personal tour guide to show you around our campus. If you would like to schedule an appointment, but are unable to visit during normal office hours, we will be more than happy to try to accommodate your needs.

All applicants to The University of Scranton’s College of Graduate and Continuing Education are considered on a case-by-case basis. Although applicants to College of Graduate and Continuing Education must meet certain academic standards, we understand that adult learners present a variety of life and educational experiences. This rich history and experience enable adult learners to be major contributors to our classrooms and to our community. At times, past academic performance is not a true indicator of an adult student’s present academic potential. Therefore, when reviewing applications to The College of Graduate and Continuing Education, the Admissions Committee will consider life experience and a student’s academic intentions as factors in the admissions decision. In order to enhance the Admissions Committee’s ability to serve you best as an applicant, we strongly encourage all applicants to make an appointment to speak with the Admissions Coordinator for College of Graduate and Continuing Education. In addition, we require that a personal statement be included with the application for admission.
