The department of nursing at The University of Scranton promotes academic excellence, clinical competency, and community responsibility within the Jesuit spirit.

The purpose of the baccalaureate program is the preparation of qualified persons for entry-level practice of professional nursing in hospitals and community health settings.

Our undergraduate programs emphasize clinical practice grounded in a strong theoretical component. The opportunity to combine a liberal arts education and biological & behavioral sciences prepares graduates to provide a holistic, compassionate nursing practice.
