FACHEX
Faculty and Staff Children Exchange Program

FACHEX is an undergraduate tuition exchange program sponsored by the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU). Children of full-time faculty and staff are eligible to apply for FACHEX scholarships from among 26 participating Jesuit institutions according to the policies governing tuition remission benefits. Normally, FACHEX scholarships cover full tuition for up to eight semesters. FACHEX does not cover room and board or other fees and expenses. Since the program is competitive and the number of awards offered by participating instituitions is limited, applicants are not guaranteed an award at any institution.

Application Requirements

  • Submit a complete application for admission to a participating institution by the appropriate date.

  • Submit a letter of application for FACHEX to the Office of the Registrar by December 1. The Registrar will notify the participating institution of your interest in a scholarship.

  • Submit a complete application for admission to the University of Scranton by December 1.

Tuition Exchange, INC.

Tuition Exchange (TE) is a non-profit consortium of more than 390 colleges and universities. Dependents of full-time faculty union members are eligible to apply according to the same policies governing tuition remission benefits. Normally, TE scholarships cover full tuition for the term of the award and must be re-certified each academic year for up to four years or eight semesters.

Application Requirements

  • Submit a TE Scholarship Certification and Application form to Mary Clare Brill, Tuition Exchange Liaison, Registrar's Office, by December 1. Forms are available in the Registrar's office, STT 301.

  • Submit a complete application for admission to the participating export institution by the appropriate date.

  • Submit a complete application for admission to the University of Scranton by December 1.

Council of Independent Colleges Tuition Exchange Program

The Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) is an association of over 300 independent, liberal arts colleges and universities. The CIC-TEP program is available to the dependents of full-time staff who have four, full years of service at the beginning of the academic year for which they are applying. Normally, a CIC-TEP scholarship covers the cost of tuition only for the term of the award.

Application Requirements

  • Submit a CIC-TEP student application form to Mary Clare Brill, Tuition Exchange Liaison, Registrar's Office, by December 1. Forms are available online from CIC or in the Registrar's Office, STT 301.

  • Submit an application for admission to the participating institution by the appropriate date.

  • Submit an application for admission to the University of Scranton by December 1.
