Voter Registration Information

In complaince with the Higher Education Authority Act of 1998, the University of Scranton is providing all enrolled students with voter registration forms for local, state and federal elections.

  • If you plan to vote by absentee ballot in your home district, you do not need to register again unless you want to vote in a local district. If you register in a local district, you can not also vote in another district in person or by absentee ballot.

  • You can only vote in one place on election day

  • For local voting information, contact the Lackawanna Board of Elections at 963-6737. The Board is located at the Lackwanna County Courthouse; 200 North Washington Ave., Scranton, PA 18503-1596. All state forms must be mailed or delivered to the courthouse.

  • All federal forms for registration in Pennsylvania must be mailed to: Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth, Room 302, North Office Building, Harrisburg, PA 17120-0029; telephone (717) 787-5280.

  • Eligible University of Scranton resident students will vote in one of four precincts depending upon the location of your residence hall. The Board of Elections will send you a voter ID card confirming your registration, precinct and poll.
