Academic Advising helps students plan and develop their academic career through individual and group advising. Academic Advising Centers are available in the College of Arts and Sciences, the Panuska College of Professional Studies, Dexter Hanley College and The Kania School of Management.


Pre-Professional programs prepare students for further studies in medicine, law and engineering. Our pre-med and pre-law students have remarkable success in winning admittance to the top schools in the country. Our two-year pre-engineering program introduces s tudents to the technical training necessary for all phases of the engineering profession.

The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Memorial Library offers seating for 1,000 students in a state-of-the-art setting that includes over 400,000 volumes, 3,000 full-text journals and on-line request forms and connections to the University’s campus-wide network and the Internet.

Fulbright Advising by a dedicated group of faculty is available for those who want to pursue the highly competitive Fulbright or other international fellowships. Our success in producing fellowship winners continues each year—113 undergraduates have received awards for international postgraduate study since 1972—a record that is unsurpassed by any school of similar size.

Study Abroad offers the opportunity to learn important life skills while living and studying in another country. Our uniquely flexible program allows you to take advantage of U.S.– sponsored programs or to enroll directly i n a host-country university. In the past, students from over 40 majors have studied in more than 40 different countries.

Help Desk support is available to help students, faculty and staff efficiently use the University’s computing systems, software, networks and facilities.

Academic Clubs add another level of support to students interested in various fields with mentoring, field trips, social activities and career information.
