or decades, students at The University of Scranton have spent a semester, a summer or full year studying in another country -- well over 700 in just the last 15 years. Why would students from almost 40 different majors have chosen to study abroad? What they tell us is that they have made lifelong friends, had fantastic internship opportunities, mastered a second language and really learned about other cultures.

Our approach to helping students realize the dream of studying in another country includes a network of contacts with programs around the globe. For example, students at The University of Scranton can participate in the Beijing Center for Language an d Culture (a program sponsored by the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities) and can enroll directly in Blackfriars Hall of Oxford University. In addition, 100 percent of your financial aid package travels with you in order to help make the option more affordable.

Majors with strong participation include:

International Language Business
English
Communication
History
International Studies
Biology
Top Countries Chosen for Studies:

England
Spain
Ireland
France
Australia
Germany
Italy

But… Students have also gone to Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil and Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland.
