Dr. Kathryn Meier

 

Congratulations to Dr. Kathryn Meier who received the Society for Military History's 2011 Edward M. Coffman Prize for the best first manuscript in military history.  Dr. Meier also recently appeared on CSPAN's History TV.

Dr. Sean Brennan presented “History Should Be on Our Side: Soviet Frustration with Their Communist “Friends” and Their Inability to Overcome Western Influences in Occupied Austria, 1945–55” American Historical Association Conference in Boston and  “Reviving Christian Europe: Catholic Missions in Occupied Germany and Austria”  American Catholic Historical Association Spring Meeting in Toronto.

Dr. David Dzurec presented "Mr. Jefferson's Folly: The Louisiana Purchase and the Beginings of Environmental Politics in the United States" at the 69th meeting of the Midwest Political Science Association in Chicago.

Dr. Shuhua Fan presented “Explaining the Demise of the Christian Colleges in China: The Case Study of the Harvard-Yenching Institute, 1949-1951” at the 2011 special joint conference of the Association for Asian Studies and the International Convention of Asia Scholar in Honolulu, Hawaii.  

Dr. Lawrence Kennedy reviewed Terrance Keenan's "If Our Lives Be Saved: A Saga of the Collin Family Settlers in Early New York State" for the Spring 2011 issue of NEHA News: The Newsletter of the New England Historical Association.
