Tim Casey received his Ph.D in philosophy from Duquesne University in 1985 and a Masters in Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh in 1979. His research and teaching interests are philosophy of technology, environmental studies, phenomenology, and philosophy of architecture. He has published widely in these areas and is the coeditor of Lifeworld and Technology (1990) and Is Human Nature Obsolete? Genetics, Bioengineering, and the Future of the Human Condition (2005). Dr. Casey is the 2006 recipient of the Alpha Sigma Nu Teacher of the Year award at the University of Scranton.
