My University of Scranton education helped me be selected as an intern for PPL Corporation three times. PPL is a Fortune 500 utility company based out of Allentown, Pennsylvania. In my internships I have completed tasks such as: creating automated programs to check for obsolete printers, upgrading two BlackBerry Enterprise Servers and cutting them over from hardware to VMware, certifying multiple BlackBerry handsets for corporate usage, negotiating with vendors to renew licensing and completing
comprehensive upgrades of several internal and external applications. All of this would not have been possible without the dedication of the professors in the electrical/computer engineering department. Besides teaching you the necessary academic skills needed to obtain internships, the EE/CE department at the University of Scranton prepares you with the skills need to be successful at these internships such as communication and discipline.
