I am responsible for the overall operation of the Center. My duties include providing leadership for the Center in supporting teaching and learning at all levels and in all contexts in which instruction and learning occur in the University.
In my position, I analyze and assist in the evaluation of the usage and effectiveness of services delivered by the CTLE as well as collaborate with Faculty Liaisons in determining faculty needs for teaching enhancement opportunities.
With the active assistance of the Specialists in the Center, I promote faculty enrichment and the provision of instructional support, student learning resources and support, and the provision of computer lab services. I am also responsible for the Center’s budget, personnel, and facilities. A very important aspect of my work is to promote communication and interaction across the campus to enhance the instructional mission of the University of Scranton.
I hold a B.A. in Sociology and an M.S. in Instructional Technologies from Bloomsburg University. I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems from Penn State University.
My interests are in distance education, most specifically web-based, as well as constructivist learning environments. I value the application and pedagogy of technology in learning, and the creation and management of effective online learning environments.
