First Annual Rhetorical Analysis Competition
While the faculty members and writing consultants who scored the entries were very impressed with the overall quality of the submissions, we could only select one winner.

Ashlee, a freshman in Prof. Bonnie Markowski’s WRTG 107 course, titled her analysis “An Expression of Concern for Growing Poverty in America: Nicolas D. Kristof’s Article The White Underclass.” Ashlee’s analysis received five first place votes and two second place votes from the seven judges.
The Writing Center at CTLE all the entrants for their hard work throughout the writing process and for their willingness to participate in this inaugural event.
