Susan Kolesar
Susan Kolesar is the owner of The Artemis Media Group, an advertising agency specializing in broadcast media strategy and placement. Founded in 1995, The Artemis Media Group has placed radio and television both regionally and nationally for over 30 clients in diverse product categories. Kolesar has taught Advertising and Public Relations courses at the University of Scranton.
An advocate for women and children, Kolesar served for 13 years (nine as treasurer) on the Pennsylvania Women’s Campaign Fund, a statewide political action committee dedicated to gender equity in the state legislature, and was a founding member of the Luzerne County Commission for Women. She has served on the board of directors of Penns Woods Girl Scout Council and as director of Studio CEO, an event at the FM Kirby Center designed to foster entrepreneurialism and business acumen in the course of esteem building among girls aged 12-15. Other professional memberships include The Northeastern Pennsylvania Ad Club and the Scranton Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Kolesar handled media for Tina Polachek Gartley, a successful candidate for the Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas in 2009. Most recently, Kolesar’s media successes have included Rick Williams, who won a seat on the newly formed Luzerne County Council and Lesa Gelb, who garnered one of six seats on the Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas in the last election cycle.
Kolesar resides in Swoyersville, Pennsylvania and Freeport, Grand Bahama and was the recipient last year of the Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal’s Top 25 Women in Business.
