    FRESHMAN CANDIDATES
    • Completed application
    • $40 non-refundable application fee
      (waived for on-line submissions)
    • Official high school transcripts
    • Official results of the SAT I or ACT
    • Letter of recommendation
    • Personal Statement
    • Extracurricular activities (optional)
 Applicants who have taken college-level courses
 in high school may be placed in advanced
 courses and may be given credits as well.
 Students who have been accepted for admission
 and desire to apply for such placement must take
  the Advanced Placement Examination offered in
 May by the College Entrance Examination
 Board, Princeton, NJ 08540. Students can have
 their results sent automatically to the University
  by providing the school code (2929). In most
  cases, a minimum score of “3” (non science) or
 
    • Completed application
    • Official results of the SAT I or ACT (if you
       have earned fewer than 24 credits)
    • $40 non-refundable application fee
      (waived for on-line submissions)
    • Official transcripts form all colleges attended
       whether or not you earned credit, and a list
       of courses in progress • Official high school
       transcript showing graduation date or official
      copy of the GED certificate and grade report
    • Personal Statement
  “4” (math/science) may earn advanced
 placement.

 The University of Scranton grants college credit
  for classes taken through a recognized
 International Baccalaureate (IB) program.
 Students can earn credit for up to three
 successfully completed higher-level classes in
 which a score of 4 or higher is achieved on the
 appropriate IB examination. For more information
   on IB credit, contact the Admissions Office.

     • Two letters of recommendation from an
        instructor
     • Official transcripts (with certified English
        translation) showing all secondary and
        post-secondary courses and grades
     • Official results of the TOEFL or APIEL
     • Certified confirmation of financial resources
     • Personal Statement


 Through the CLEP tests, taken before admission,
 applicants may gain college credit in most
 academic subjects for work done outside the
 classroom in jobs, military service, etc., or in non-
 accredited institutions. For further information
 contact: College Level Examination Program,
 Box 1824, Princeton, NJ 08540. Students
 wishing to be considered for CLEP credits should
   take the CLEP examinations and have the results
 forwarded to the Admissions Office.
