ON-LINE APPLICATION PROCEDURES
Students applying on-line to Scranton should submit the following:
 
•  On-line application
•  Official high school transcript

SAT: 2929 ACT: 3736
SAT I / ACT scores*: Submit scores on your official transcript or from the College Board or ACT. 

* In lieu of standardized test scores, students applying SAT/ACT Optional must submit two graded essays from high school. In addition, an on-campus interview may be requested by the Admissions Committee.
•  Letter of recommendation: Your guidance counselor or teacher may use the recommendation forms above, an alternate form, or write a letter.
•  Personal statement: Submit in the on-line application, email to application@scranton.edu or mail to the address below.
•  List of extracurricular activities (optional). Submit in the on-line application, email to application@scranton.edu or mail to the address below.
•  Permanent Residents must submit a copy of their current Proof of Residency card.
COMMON APPLICATION PROCEDURES
•  Please complete the Common Application on-line. We do require a supplement.
•  Please follow On-line Application Procedures listed above.
•  We accept the Common Application’s essay in place of our personal statement.

APPLICATION DEADLINES
November 15: Early Action
Early Action is a non-binding program for students who have a strong desire to attend The University of Scranton. We will mail Early Action admission decisions on December 15.

November 15: SAT/ACT Optional Deadline
Students may apply without submitting stardardized test (SAT/ACT) scores if they are in the top 30% of their graduating class. Students attending schools that do not rank must have a GPA of at least 3.2 of a 4.0 scale. Students applying to the D.P.T. guaranteed seat, Nursing or Occupational Therapy programs may not apply SAT/ACT Optional.

December 15: Regular Decision Application Review Begins
Regular Decision applications will be reviewed after Early Action candidates have been notified. Once the completed application is received, it can take four to six weeks to process. Applicants will be notified on a rolling basis after December 15.


March 1: Preferred Application Deadline
We accept qualified applicants on a rolling basis, but we strongly encourage you to apply as early as possible. Applications received after March 1 may not be reviewed if the class is full.

May 1: National Candidates’ Reply Date
Admitted applicants must reserve their place in the fall class by this date. This is accomplished by submitting both the confirmation card provided in your acceptance packet and the appropriate fee.

SCHOLARSHIPS
All accepted students are evaluated for academic merit scholarships. No special applications are required. Students receiving merit scholarships will be notified of the amount in their acceptance letter. For more information on financial aid and scholarships, please click here.
