Welcome to The University of Scranton's on-line application! Thank you for taking the time to apply on-line. Our Admissions Committee is eager to review your application and will make the final decision on applications for admission. We will consider the following factors in reaching an admissions decision: demonstrated evidence of a student's academic ability, intellectual curiosity, a student's high school record, class rank, SAT and / or ACT scores, strength of character, and motivation. The requirements for a completed application depend on whether you are applying as a freshman, transfer, or international student. See the application procedures for more information.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES
International Candidates Submit:
•  Completed application
•  $40 (U.S.) non-refundable application fee, payable to "The University of Scranton" (waived for on-line applications)
•  Letter of recommendation
•  Official transcripts (with certified English translation) showing all secondary and post-secondary courses and grades
•  Official results of the SAT I or ACT

SCHOLARSHIPS
All accepted students are evaluated for academic merit scholarships. No special applications are required. Students receiving merit scholarships will be notified of the amount in the acceptance packet.
AP, IB AND COLLEGE CREDIT
If you have taken any Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or college courses and you decide to enroll at The University of Scranton, you should submit all official scores and/ or transcripts to the Office of Admissions. Course evaluations will be completed during the summer before your freshman year. Please see our Web sites for more information: www.scranton.edu/apmatrix and www.scranton.edu/ibcredit.
APPLICATION DEADLINES
November 15: Early Action
Early Action is a non-binding program for students who have a strong desire to attend The University of Scranton. We will mail Early Action admission decisions on December 15.

December 15: Regular Decision Application Review Begins
Regular Decision applications will be reviewed after Early Action candidates have been notified. Once the completed application is received, it can take four to six weeks to process. Applicants will be notified on a rolling basis after December 15.


March 1: Preferred Application Deadline
We accept qualified applicants on a rolling basis, but we strongly encourage you to apply as early as possible. Applications received after March 1 may not be reviewed if the class is full.

May 1: National Candidates’ Reply Date
Admitted applicants must reserve their place in the fall class by this date. This is accomplished by submitting both the confirmation card provided in your acceptance packet and the appropriate fee.

FINANCIAL AID DEADLINES
February 15: Preferred Financial Aid Application Deadline
If you would like to apply for financial aid, including need-based grants, loans and student employment, we require you to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, preferably before February 15 for the following fall semester. You can pick up the application in your guidance office or apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The Title IV Code for The University of Scranton: 003384 (to be used on FAFSA)

March 15: Financial Aid Notification
The Financial Aid Office begins to send out financial aid packages on a rolling basis around March 15.

May 1: National Candidates’ Reply Date
Admitted applicants must accept their financial aid package for the fall term by this date.
