  What is an Information Session?

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at The University of Scranton offers information sessions for the benefit of prospective students and their families. Given by an Admissions staff member, this dynamic presentation gives you a great overview of the character of the University while providing all of the facts and figures you need to make an informed college decision. Information Sessions are approximately one hour in length with time for questions. To reserve a seat in an information session, call 1-888-SCRANTON or click on the "Schedule a Visit" tab at the top of this page and choose a date and time.

What if I am a transfer or adult student?

Please note that the information session is geared toward high school students. Transfer and adult students seeking information will find it most beneficial to meet directly with a counselor.

Transfer and adult undergraduate students should contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 1-888-SCRANTON to schedule a personal appointment in lieu of the information session.

Does Scranton require an admissions interview?

At this time, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions does not require a formal interview as part of our Admissions process. We do offer prospective students and families the opportunity to schedule a personal appointment with a member of our Admissions staff. The personal appointment is non-evaluative and is perfect for students and parents who may have questions about the University or want to discuss a specific situation with regard to Admissions. If you wish to schedule an appointment with faculty please note that appointments with faculty members, coaches, etc. must be made individually by contacting the correct party.

If you would like to schedule a personal appointment, please call 1-888-SCRANTON.

What will I see on the campus tour?

A campus tour is the perfect complement to an information session and/or personal appointment. Major highlights of the campus tour include: the DeNaples Center, the new campus center that features our bookstore, "Fresh Food Company" student dining area, and much more, as well as main academic buildings, Weinberg Memorial Library, residence hall (including student room) and select recreational facilities. Campus tours are given by current student ambassadors and are approximately one hour in length. Tours can be scheduled by calling 1-888-SCRANTON or clicking on the "Schedule a Visit" tab at the top of this page and choosing a date and time.
