When are your Open House days?

The University of Scranton is hosting fall Open House days for prospective students and their families on Sunday, October 26, 2008, and Sunday, November 9, 2008. In addition to joining us for a welcome presentation, visitors will have the opportunity to tour campus and speak with Admissions and Financial Aid staff members, faculty members and representatives of many student services and programs.

What is an Information Session?

The Undergraduate Admissions Office at The University of Scranton offers information sessions for the benefit of prospective students and their families. Given by an Admissions staff member, this dynamic presentation gives you a great overview of the character of the University while providing all of the facts and figures you need to make an informed college decision. Information Sessions are approximately one hour in length with time for questions. Simply call 1-888-SCRANTON to reserve a seat in an information session of your choice.

What If I Am a Transfer or Adult Student?

Please note that the information session is geared toward high school students. Transfer and adult students seeking information will find it most beneficial to meet directly with a counselor.

Transfer students should contact the Admissions Visitors’ Center at 1-888-SCRANTON to schedule a personal interview in lieu of the information session.

Adults (age 24 and over) wishing to pursue an undergraduate degree should contact the College of Graduate and Continuing Education at 1-800-366-4723 to schedule a personal appointment.

Does Scranton require an Admissions Interview?

The University of Scranton offers prospective students and families the opportunity to schedule a personal appointment with a member of our Admissions staff. The personal appointment is non-evaluative and is perfect for students and parents who may have questions about the University or want to discuss a specific situation with regard to Admissions. At this time, we do not require a formal interview as part of our Admissions process. If you wish to schedule an appointment with faculty please note that appointments with faculty members, coaches, etc. must be made individually by contacting the correct party.

If you would like to schedule a personal appointment, please call 1-888-SCRANTON to reach the Visitors' Center.

What will I see on the Campus Tour?

A campus tour is the perfect complement to an information session and/or personal appointment. Major highlights of the campus tour include: the DeNaples Center, the new campus center that features our bookstore, "Fresh Food Company" student dining area, and much more, as well as main academic buildings, Weinberg Memorial Library, residence hall (including student room) and select recreational facilities. Campus tours are given by current student ambassadors and are approximately one hour in length. Tours can be scheduled by calling 1-888-SCRANTON and speaking with a representative in the Visitors' Center.
