High School: Sacred Heart High School

Favorite place on campus: Hmmmm… That’s tough, so I’m giving two answers. Most specifically, the upstairs front porch of Blair House, which my friends and I referred to as The Monocle. My less abstract and less fun answer: The 5^th floor of the Weinberg Memorial Library, which is gorgeous, comfy, and most importantly silent. This last part is key when trying to read two-hundred pages of Samuel Richardson.

Campus involvement: I wrote album and concert reviews the university’s newspaper, The Aquinas. As a staff writer I was also able to interview incoming bands and artists, such as Andrew McMahon of Jack’s Mannequin and Something Corporate. I was also active with the schools literary journal, Esprit.

Favorite teams: Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers

Favorite books: White Noise, Women, Lord of the Flies, Portnoy’s Complaint, A Room of One’s Own, The Scott Pilgrim series, and the Harry Potter series.

Favorite movies: Moonrise Kingdom, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill 1&2, The Royal Tenenbaums, Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Life Aquatic, The Departed, Eternal Sunshine, Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro, Kill!, and Harakiri.

Favorite Music: Animal Collective, The Strokes, Ariel Pink, The Beatles, Kanye West, ASAP Rocky, The Beach Boys, The xx, Elliot Smith, Joanna Newsom… I could go on for days.
