Meet The Staff

Rita A. DiLeo '11
My high school English teacher once said, “I have never, in my thirty years of teaching, known a student who did not love The University of Scranton.” As soon as I stepped onto campus, I understood her perfect record.
Fun Facts
High School: Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School
Hometown: Scranton, PA
Favorite Scranton Memory: So many! Leading F.I.R.S.T., preparing for a notorious SJLA exam (30 people in one study room!), dancing with the Suburban Beats team at Midnight Madness, and my absolute favorite memory is when I received The McIlhenny Medal for Exceptional Leadership and Dedication. It is the highest honor a student may receive at Scranton and it was a complete surprise!
Favorite place on campus: The DeNaples patio. No better place to hang out with friends and an iced coffee on a sunny day!
Campus Involvement: I served as a class senator on Student Government for three years and was elected President during my senior year. I also was a work study in the Community Outreach Office and a peer tutor for Economics and Logic.
Favorite food: As an Italian, I love food and trying new things! I eat healthy so some of my favorites are salad (with a ton of toppings!) and sushi. Favorite dessert has been the same since I was a kid: soft vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles!
A few of my Favorite things: Exercising, hot yoga, getting dressed up, traveling, summer barbeques, a hot cup of coffee, laying on the beach, and laughing with family and friends!
Places I Have Traveled: England, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Philippines, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Aruba, Mexico, Canada, and 16 states.
