The University of Scranton Announces New Assistant Vice President for Development
The University of Scranton has named Marise Garofalo as assistant vice president for development. In this new position, she will be more actively involved in the university’s $100 million Pride, Passion, Promise Capital Campaign and facilitate the development of the Campus Development Council. Garofalo will continue to manager many of the university’s development functions including The Royal Fund, corporation and foundation giving, the development field staff, development research and operations, and planned giving.
Garofalo, a resident of Clarks Summit, joined The University of Scranton in 1998 and has served in various positions including assistant director of alumni relations, associate director of operations & research, director of information technologies, senior development officer, director of planned giving & special programs and most recently as executive director of development.
Prior to joining Scranton, Garofalo served in various management and marketing roles in the local business community. She is a summa cum laude graduate of The University of Scranton, where she earned the Frank O’Hara Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement.
