Water and the Human Condition Discussed at Spring Sustainability Symposium

A panel discussion and lecture will examine Water and the Human Condition at The University of Scranton Spring Sustainability Symposium on Earth Day, April 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the McIlhenny Ballroom of the DeNaples Center. The symposium is free of charge and open to the public.

University Physics Professor Nicholas P. Truncale will provide an introduction to the topic, which will be followed by a panel discussion. Panelists are Pennsylvania State Senator John Blake; University faculty members Erika Lasek-Nesselquist, Ph.D., ecologist and evolutionary biologist; Joan Grossman, Ph.D., dietician and exercise scientist; Linda Ledford-Miller, Ph.D., world languages and cultures; and Jessica M. Nolan, Ph.D., environmental and social psychology; and University student Caroline Earnest, an environmental science major.

The symposium is sponsored by the University’s Sustainability Club, Environmental Science Program and Environmental Studies Concentration.
