Documentary Film Scheduled to Commemorate Veterans Day

To pay tribute to Veterans Day, The University of Scranton's Departments of Communication and Military Science will present a screening of the documentary film "V-Day 11.11.11" on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. in the Loyola Science Center, room 133. The film will be followed by a panel discussion with several honored veterans. Light refreshments will be served.  

"V-Day: 11.11.11" is a feature-length documentary that examines what it means to be a veteran in America by telling the stories of 15 United States veterans. Cameras followed these individuals and their families and in their communities on Nov. 11, 2011, and beyond for a glimpse into the lives of those who protect and defend our country. This film has been partially funded by the Tawani Foundation and with support from Loyola University Chicago; MissionVision Productions; Moots Productions; Network Nirvana; Terranova Pictures; LLC; Pat Woodard Productions; and the World Witness Project.
