On-Campus Housing Information for December Break and Intersession

This is a reminder that all on-campus housing will be closed over the winter break from 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, through noon on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013.

Students will not be permitted to return to campus prior to the regularly scheduled opening of the residence halls at noon on Jan. 29, 2013, unless they have registered for intersession classes or received permission to return to campus due to extenuating circumstances (athletics, employment, internship, etc.). Intersession housing for those students opens at noon on January 2, 2013.

As students prepare to check out of housing in December, they should consider the following information:

• 24 quiet hours begin Monday, Dec. 10, at 8 p.m. 
• All students must check out within 24 hours of their last final. 
• Take home your keys and Royal card and follow all closing instructions listed on the Outta Here form posted on the front door of their room/apt. 
• The residential areas close at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15.

Graduate students living in Dorothy Day and Herold Apartments are not required to vacate during the December break and intersession. These students must make a UIS Request to place themselves on the official approved list after Satuday, Dec. 1.
