Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive Now Under Way

Student and staff volunteers pack and deliver the uncooked meals on the Sunday prior to Thanksgiving.

The Center for Service and Social Justice's annual Thanksgiving Food Drive is now under way. Please help the center raise the $6,000 it needs to provide Thanksgiving dinners to local families in the Scranton area through the Feed a Friend program. Each baskets costs $35 to make, but any donation is acceptable. In recent years, the drive has provided nearly 200 baskets. 

Donations can be made several ways:

• Send a check payable to "University of Scranton" to the Center for Service & Social Justice, University of Scranton, DeNaples Center, room 205B, Scranton, PA, 18510; or campus-wide mail service to DeNaples 205B
• Drop your cash donation off directly at our office in DeNaples Center, room 205B
• Online (Check "other" and write "Thanksgiving Food Drive" in the description. A new secure website will follow to enter your credit card information and to receive a confirmation via email.) Donations are tax deductible. You will receive a charitable tax donation letter following your gift.
