The Panuska College of Professional Studies is collecting new or gently used children's books for its annual Blessing of the Books project. Donation boxes are located throughout campus. Please join us for the Blessing of the Books ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 6, at 3:30 p.m. in the lobby of McGurrin Hall.'

Last year, students, faculty and staff donated more than 4,600 children’s books to help support the community to promote literacy in the Scranton area. Among the organizations that received donated books last year was the library of Holy Rosary School in Duryea, which was flooded in September 2011. The University has collected and donated a total of nearly 14,000 books over the past five years through this project.
