Student Health

With winter approaching, it is important for your student to be ready for the changing temperatures and increased chance of sickness. Late nights studying, inadequate rest and the lack of a well balanced diet can bring your student's immune system down, especially during season changes.
To help students stay
healthy, Student Health Services are offering flu shots by appointment.
Beyond getting a flu shot, it's also important that you remind your student of
these actions that can help prevent sickness:
- Wash hands frequently
- If you need to cough or sneeze, remember to use your sleeve or a tissue
- Eat healthy and exercise
- When sick, stay away from others
- If you have a fever, you should stay home until you are fever -free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications
- Stay hydrated/drink lots of fluids
