ITS - Training
Attention Calendar Users in Live@edu
CorpTime/Oracle Calendar will be retired on June 29, but will remain in Read-only mode until then. All calendar users in the university community should be using the calendars in Outlook Live and Outlook 2010, part of our Live@edu environment.
Initial calendar training has been completed. For those calendar users needing in-depth training, IT Services is offering one-hour sessions in May. These in-depth sessions will cover options for delegate and sharing access, meeting requests and cancellations, proper ways to respond to meeting requests, and much more, not covered in initial training.

Identity Finder
We're introducing Identity Finder to the university community. This easy-to-use program will allow us to secure all the files on our computers, that may contain personal or university data that needs to be protected. These files may include social security numbers, credit card numbers, passwords, and more, that we may not even know still exist on our computers.

Training is available through IT Services. Call the Technology Support Center for more information at ext. 4357.
Classifying, Handling, and Securing University Information
At our IT Forum of October 25, 2011, we discussed the importance of working with University of Scranton information, in a thoughtful and careful manner, so that information is not released to unauthorized people or agencies. Below are PDFs that help us to understand policies in place, regulations and laws we must recognize, and procedures to use when we have a question regarding how to handle information.
We remind all staff, faculty and students that we all bear a responsibility to safeguard University information entrusted to us. We have policies in place to help us and people to whom we can go for further assistance.
If you have a question regarding how to properly use any type of information, click the links below.
