The University of Scranton Plans TV and Radio Broadcasts of Commencement Activities
The University of Scranton will broadcast its Graduate School Commencement live on Adelphia's Channel 62 on Saturday, May 25, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Internationally-known theologian, author and lecturer, Avery Cardinal Dulles, S.J., the Laurence J. McGinley Professor of Religion and Society at Fordham University, will be the principal speaker.
Also on Saturday, on Channel 62, the university will air live broadcasts of Baccalaureate Mass at 4 p.m., and the undergraduate Class Night Achievement Award Ceremony beginning at 8 p.m.
On Sunday, May 26, The University of Scranton's radio station WUSR 99.5 FM will broadcast live coverage of the university's undergraduate commencement beginning at noon. Lisa Myers, chief congressional correspondent for NBC News, will give the principal address.
The university will air a taped replay of its undergraduate commencement on Channel 62 beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday evening.
