University of Scranton's Women's Center Seeks Mentors
The Jane Kopas Women's Center at The University of Scranton is seeking area women in leadership positions who are interested in volunteering to serve as role models and mentors to college students in a unique mentoring program.
"The mentoring program is beginning its second year and current participants are encouraging new mentors to join," said Elizabeth Randol, Ph.D., director of the Jane Kopas Women's Center. "Alumni of the university are especially encouraged to participate."
A mandatory organizational meeting for those interested in participating will be held on July 24 at 6 p.m. in the Jane Kopas Women's Center on The University of Scranton campus.
For additional information, contact Dr. Randol at (570) 941-6194 or randole2@scranton.edu.
Founded in 1994 to provide a forum for exploring women's issues, the center sponsors programs that focus on the experiences and needs of women, social justice, and gender equality.
