08/1 - The University of Scranton's Graduate School to Hold Orientation

On Sunday, August 25, 2002, The University of Scranton's Graduate School will conduct an orientation for incoming students as well as those who began their studies during intersession, spring and summer semesters. The orientation will take place from 1:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in room 228 of Brennan Hall, Madison Avenue.

From noon to 1 p.m., an optional tour of The University of Scranton's Weinberg Memorial Library will be offered.

The orientation will include remarks explaining the university's policies and procedures by Duncan Perry, Ph.D., dean of the Graduate School and director of research. Representatives from the financial aid office, bursar's office, information resources, career services, the Jane Kopas Women's Center and the Graduate Student Advisory Council will be available to answer questions.

The orientation will conclude with a social with the members of the faculty in the 5th Floor Executive Center of Brennan Hall. Refreshments will be served.

The Graduate School of The University of Scranton offers 23 accredited master's degree programs in the areas of education, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, health administration and human resources, counseling, business administration, English, history, theology, software engineering, chemistry, clinical chemistry and biochemistry.

Fall orientation for incoming undergraduate freshmen and transfer students is scheduled for August 24 and 25. Orientation for transfer students will be held on August 24. College of Graduate and Continuing Education, the undergraduate division for adult and part-time students, will hold orientation on August 22.
