Programs/Presentations


The Counseling Center staff may be available to guest lecture in classes or present in residence halls or to other student groups on a variety of topics, including:

  1. Services provided by the Counseling Center
  2. Adjustment to college life
  3. Building self-esteem
  4. Relationship enhancement
  5. Decision making
  6. Stress management
  7. Assertiveness training
  8. Personal loss and the grief process
  9. Drug and alcohol awareness
  10. Eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia)
  11. Sexual assault/acquaintance rape
  12. Sexual harassment
  13. Depression
  14. Anxiety

For all requests, we prefer at least two week's notice for preparation and scheduling purposes. In addition to Counseling Center guest speakers, peer educators are available through the Wellness Center (941-4253) to speak on HIV/AIDS, drug and alcohol issues, and sexual assault awareness. The following groups serve as resource in theses areas on the Scranton campus:
