Physical Plant Department: Work Orders

PHYSICAL PLANT DEPARTMENT

WORK ORDERS

Work orders are to be submitted for routine corrective work and can be submitted by e-mail, telephone, and standard work order form. A sample work order form is included in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Work orders should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the work request date. Event work orders should be submitted at least 10 working days before an event. Work orders are received by the work order control clerk and approved by the Assistant Director for Operations and Maintenance. Work is assigned to the appropriate trades person or mechanic and orders are placed for materials. The work is generally performed by the due date and tradesmen are responsible for conveying information to the requestor regarding scheduling delays.
