U.S. Army ROTC

ROTC: Partnership Schools

PARTNERSHIP SCHOOLS

You can be an ROTC cadet of the North East Pennsylvania Battalion enrolled any of the major Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area colleges. It's simple. The following schools have a Military Science program:

The University of Scranton (Host University)
Kings College (Classes also taught here)
Lackawanna College
Wilkes University
East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (Classes also taught here)

To enroll in ROTC at either of these schools all you have to do is register for Military Science classes just as you would register for any other class.

Some schools in the area do not have a Military Science Department, but allow transfer credit for Military Science taken at the University of Scranton. All you have to do is apply to the University of Scranton's Dexter-Hanley College and register for Military Science classes. The credits you earn will transfer from Scranton to your school. The following schools have agreed to allow this transfer credit:

Marywood University
Misericordia University
Penn State Worthington
Penn State Wilkes-Barre
Baptist Bible College
Luzerne County Community College
Keystone College

For the benefit of those cadets enrolled in Wilkes-Barre area schools, cadre from the University of Scranton conduct classes and training at King's College so that those cadets are spared the commuting problem.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about registering for Military Science.
