When you arrive on campus in the fall, your first surprise might be a member of the administration handing your family some water or juice along with a warm welcome. You'll find this same high level of personal caring and concern throughout the day — and beyond.

When you pull up to your residence hall, the same students who were your Orientation Aides during Summer Orientation and the Resident Assistants for your hall will greet you, help you unload your car, and deliver your belongings to your room within minutes.

Because you live close by, you may think you know all there is to know about The University of Scranton. We urge you to step out of your comfort zone and challenge this assumption. The first few months of your college experience are crucial as everyone comes together for the first time. This is the time to get involved and discover new people and activities. Everything we do — from Summer Orientation to graduation to alumni events — involves all students at The University of Scranton. Please don’t pass up the many opportunities for personal growth and rewarding friendships.
