Freshman Senator
David Scalzo was born in Scranton, and grew up by the University's
retreat center at Chapman Lake. He graduated from Lakeland Jr.-Sr.
High School, a public school in Scott Township, PA. While in high
school, David was very involved in his student government. He served
as his Class Treasurer and the Student Council Treasurer. David also
ran for Lakeland's cross-country team and track team.
In his free time, David loves to volunteer not only in his community but the surrounding communities as well. He also enjoys horseback riding on his family's farm, traveling, meeting new people, and running.
On campus, David is involved with the College Democrats, the Royal News Network, and the Italian Society. David also works as a Public Safety Student Officer to keep campus safe. Majoring in Political Science, David is in the Pre-Law program and plans on getting directly involved in politics after school. David’s motto is “knowledge is power” and he hopes to use this ideal to one day become a politician.
