The University of Scranton Online Course Guide

The University of Scranton
Web-based Guide (ANGEL)

The University uses ANGEL as its web courseware tool. The software has modules for Course Information and Course Documents, Assignments, Tests, Discussion Board, Virtual Chat, and External Links. The ANGEL web page is located within the My.Scranton portal.

To access this software, you will need an Internet browser, either Internet Explorer or Firefox and an Internet Service Provider (ISP) if you connect from home. You can also connect on-campus from the public computer labs. If you are an AOL user, you need to minimize the AOL browser and use Internet Explorer or Firefox. To log into ANGEL you need to log onto the My.Scranton portal using your username (same as e-mail) and password. Once inside the portal, ANGEL can be accessed through the Student or the University Links Tab.

If you experience technical problems connecting to ANGEL or any other system on campus please contact the Technology Support Center by phone at (570) 941-4357 or by email techsupport@scranton.edu.

The main form of communication between faculty and students for online courses is the University's email system. It is your responsibility to read your University email.

Access to your course(s) will be granted 7 days prior to the start of class.

Your instructor will contact you with more information about the structure of the course.
