The Office of Human Resources
Overview

The Office of Human Resources strives to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all employees; to treat everyone with dignity and respect; to seek out opportunities to create win-win situations; to provide opportunities for everyone to be the best that they can be; and ultimately, to act as an employee advocate.

On a daily basis, the Office of Human Resources is responsible for the ongoing planning, development and administration of programs, policies and procedures related to faculty and staff; employment; compensation; benefits; safety; employee/employer relations; affirmative action; human resource information systems; employee training and development; productivity improvement; and organizational design. The department focuses on providing these services in a high quality, cost effective manner.

The Office of Human Resources is only a minor part of the human resources environment at The University of Scranton. Therefore, it is important that supervisors and employees understand the Human Resources staff is here to work with them and support them in achievement of their goals as well as the University's goals.
