Brennan Hall on a sunny day

Management, Marketing and Entrepreneurship Department

What We Do:

If you aspire to help a business get known or get results, the Department of Management, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship is the right place for you. You’ll learn the most up-to-date approaches and have the opportunity to put them into practice, with courses emphasizing globalization, technology and ethical decision-making.

We encourage a strategic, sustainable approach to business that weighs all decisions against the triple bottom line of people, planet and profit.

How We Stand Out:

  • Dedicated faculty who are personally engaged with students
  • Qualified adjunct professors who bring practical business experience right into the classroom
  • Valuable connections with alumni and business leaders through the President’s Business Council, the Executive-in-Residence Program, the Dean’s Advisory Council, and scheduled events
  • Emphasis on technical skills, critical thinking and a Jesuit emphasis on ethical decision-making
  • Experiential learning both inside the classroom -- and outside, through internships
  • Opportunities to stand out by participating in the Business Leadership Honors Program and the KSOM Honors Program

Programs:

  • Business Administration, BS - Approaches the field of business from a broad perspective, rather than a particular specialty
  • Entrepreneurship, BS - Designed to provide students with meaningful skills, attitudes, and behaviors necessary for starting new businesses, working in family businesses, or joining small entrepreneurial businesses.
  • Management, BS - Sustainable Strategic Management involves a long term approach to achieving organizational goals and creating a competitive advantage by employing initiatives, products, and processes that focus on people, planet and profit.
  • Marketing, BS - Marketing is all about creating, communicating, delivering and exchanging value. The philosophy of marketing focuses on anticipating and satisfying customer needs and wants.
  • CAS/MBA Five-Year Program - Allows students from the College of Arts and Sciences to earn a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and an MBA degree in 5 years.
  • Entrepreneurship Minor
