Take Back The Night
SAVE THE DATE: 23RD ANNUAL TAKE BACK THE NIGHT IS:
APRIL 25, 2013
Take Back the Night, a national rally against relationship violence and sexual assault, takes place each year in April, which is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The Women’s Center hosts a pre-rally on campus which includes informational tables, activity booths, music, and refreshments. Additionally, we display The University of Scranton’s chapter of the National Clothesline Project at the pre-rally. For more information on the Clothesline Project, you can visit: http://www.clotheslineproject.org. At the conclusion of our pre-rally, students, faculty, and staff march with community members to the Scranton Courthouse for the annual rally including speakers, music, open microphone, and a candlelight vigil. Students may complete service-learning hours at Take Back the Night. This event is in collaboration with the Women's Resource Center of Lackawanna County.
